Michelle's Tapestry

This is a tapestry I made for my husbands cousin. She has a large foyer and it needed a large colorful painting that would reflect the various themes in her home and give a focal point for the space. I hand wrote the poem from Mackie Ayers at the top in gold pen and then highlighted it with dimensional paint to help it pop out a bit. It says, Oh the comfort of feeling safe with a person, of having neither to weigh thoughts or measure words, but pouring them all out, wheat and chaff together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, knowing what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.
